ஒருமுறை ஒரு நாய் மிகவும் பசியாக இருந்தது. அது எல்லா இடங்களிலும் உணவுக்காக அலைந்தது, கடைசியில் ஒரு எலும்பு துண்டை கண்டது. அது தன் வாயில் எலும்பு துண்டை எடுத்து, தன்னுடைய இருப்பிடத்திற்கு திரும்பிச் செல்லத் தொடங்கியது. செல்லும் வழியில் ஒரு பாலம் இருந்தது.
பாலத்தை கடக்கும் போது, அது ஓடையில் அதன் பிரதிபலிப்பை பார்த்த்து. அது இன்னொரு நாய் அந்த ஓடையில் எலும்பு துண்டோடு இருப்பதாக நினைத்தது. அது அந்த மற்றொரு எலும்பு துண்டையும் பெற நினைத்தது.

Don′t be Greedy
Once there was a dog that was very hungry. It searched for food everywhere and at last it found a bone piece. It picked the bone piece with its mouth and started going back to its place. There was a bridge on the way to its place.
When it started crossing the bridge, it saw its reflection in the stream. It thought that there was another dog with a bone piece in the rstream. It wanted to get that other bone piece too.
So it started barking at its reflection. Its bone piece fall into the stream as soon as it opened its mouth. The greedy dog lost its food.
Moral: Greed leads to loss.
