ஒரு கிராமத்தில் உள்ள குளத்தில் மூன்று மீன்கள் மிகவும் நெருங்கிய நண்பர்களாக இருந்தன. ஒரு நாள், அந்த குளத்தின் வழியாக சென்ற சில மீனவர்கள், அங்கே நிறைய மீன்கள் இருப்பதை கண்டனர். அவர்களில் ஒரு மீனவர், “இங்கே பாருங்கள்! இந்த குளத்தில் நிறைய மீன்கள் உள்ளன! இப்போது மாலை நேரம் ஆகிவிட்டது. நாம் நாளை காலை வந்து அனைத்து மீன்களையும் பிடிக்க வேண்டும்” என்று சொன்னார்.
மீனவர் சொன்னதை கேட்ட, மூன்று மீன்களில் ஒரு புத்திசாலி மீன், மற்ற இரண்டு மீன்களையும் அழைத்து, “மீனவர் என்ன சொன்னார் என்பதை நீங்கள் கேட்டீர்களா? இன்றிரவு இந்த குளத்தில் இருந்து வெளியேறி, விரைவாக ஒரு பாதுகாப்பான இடத்திற்கு செல்ல வேண்டும்”, என்று சொன்னது.
இரண்டாவது மீன் அதனை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, “நாம் இனி இங்கே இருக்க வேண்டாம்” என்று சொன்னது. ஆனால் மூன்றாவது மீன் மற்ற இரு மீன்களும் சொன்னதைக் கேட்டு சிரிக்க ஆரம்பித்தது. “இது தான் நம்முடைய வாழ்விடம், நாம் இங்கிருந்து வேறு எங்கும் ஓடக்கூடாது”, என்றது.
மூன்றாவது மீனை சமாதானப்படுத்த முடியாமல், மற்ற இரு மீன்களும் அந்தக் குளத்தில் இருந்து அன்றிரவே வெளியேறின. அடுத்த நாள், மீனவர்கள் அந்த குளத்தில் ஒரு பெரிய வலையை விரித்து நிறைய மீன்களை பிடித்தனர். மூன்றாவது மீன் மற்ற மீன்கள் சொன்னதை கேட்டிருந்தால், அது அப்படி பிடிபட்டிருக்காது.
நீதி: சிந்தித்து, புத்திசாலித்தனமாக செயல்பட்டு பிரச்சனையைத் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும்.
Act Wisely
Three fish were very close friends in a village pond. One day, some fishermen passing through that pond saw plenty of fishes. One of the fisherman said, “hey look here, so many fishes in this pond! It is already evening now. We should come tomorrow morning and catch them all”.
Hearing the fisherman, one of the three fishes, who was the wisest of them all called the other two fishes and said, “Did you hear what the fisherman said? We should leave this pond tonight itself, and move to a safe place quickly”.
The second fish agreed to him and said, “I think we should not be here anymore”. But the third fish started laughing for what both fishes said. It replied, “This is our home. We should not run away like this”.
Unable to convince the third fish, the other two left the pond that night. The next day, the fishermen put a big net in that pond and caught a plenty of fishes. Third fish was one among them. If it had listened to other two fishes, it wouldn’t have been caught like that.
Moral : Think and act wisely to avoid problem.
